WinInstall works just fine for software, but when it comes to printers there is a problem.
The driver is installed fine, and all the settings in registry are ok, but Win-95 won't use it. The printer does not show up in the Printer folder.
But when I reboot the pc, the printer is ok and everything works just fine.
Windows 95 reads the registry during boot, checks to see what printers are installed and let the users use them. But since you don't have to reboot the pc after you have installed a printer "the microsoft way" using the "add printer wizard" I guess that there is a hidden systemcall or
something like this to make Windows 95 re-read the printer setup from registry without rebooting the pc.
Can somebody please help !!
I would like to get any answer or tip by e-mail as weel.
Thank you.

Hope this works:
right click MyCompter and select Properties. Choose the DeviceManager tab. Select Computer, select ViewDevicesByConnection and finally choose Refresh.
