Memory Size Decrease

I upgraded my Sony 200MH Pentium computer from 32 to 64 RAM. When I turn the computer on, I get the message: "Memory Size Decreased. Press <F1> for Setup, <ESC> to Boot, <F2> for Option Rom Screen." When I choose <ESC>, WIN95 boots up with 32 RAM and I have to reboot to get 64 RAM. How can I get 64 RAM from the start?

Press F1, verify your BIOS has all your RAM listed, save changes and exit.

I had this problem one time on a Dell computer and I pulled all the ram and had
them tested and the problem was that the original memory was 70ns and the
new SIMM module that I had added was 60ns. It would work but I had to do
a re-boot each time to get the correct amount of memory to show.  I cured
this problem by installing identical 60ns modeules from the same
manufacturer.

when it starts up it gives you the option f1 setup. choose this and then update cmos and reboot. It shouldn't do it again. it is basicly telling you that your memory has increased, you need to save cmos and restart so that is always aware of the increased memory, good luck....

I agree with Satwa.  I bet your memory is mismatched.  Always ensure that you put the Simms in Pairs and that they are identical
