With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. how do i get back to desktop or functioning safe mode?

Tags: safe, mode, computer

for other reasons, i ran the win95 setup.exe  cd...answered yes to all version conflicts...ran to 100%...now i am stuck in a: drive dos?...black screen says i have a corrupted file in system ini...makes references to many vmm32 .vxd's...says i need to reinstall the software using these files...i have no idea what software unless it is on setup cd...no safe mode...no desktop...no way to reboot or get back to ground zero...needless to say, i am in way over my head here...if i am ever able to rerun the setup, will answering no to all version conflicts possibly help?...as is, computer ultimately cuts off...please assume nothing of me...i feel like i have the iq of a thumb tack  on this one...please help...thanks in advance...
