Hello,
I have been trying to re-install Win95 to my IBM 560X laptop (which has the IBM EXTERNAL 20X CD-ROM PCMCIA DRIVE) with boot disks downloaded from Bootdisk.com and I have fallen into problems, 'cause those doesn't support PCMCIA-cards.
I have tried to create my own boot disks by changing the .sys files with some taken from IBM support pages, but that has been a total 'fiasco'.
I've also googled with phrases like 'win95 boot disk PCMCIA support', etc, but didn't come up with anything usefull.
The problem is that my laptop doesn't recognize the CD-ROM and therefore can't use the installation CD.
The IBM's boot disk for Win95 Recovery CD (
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=psg1BBOD-3N5KWE) was able to use the CD drive, but my knowledge isn't good enough to use that info any further.
How do I create a working boot disk, he asks...
