Exchange 2000 to exchange 2007 public folders Transfer

We are transitioning over from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007.  I am trying to take the E2K server down but every time I do the public folders disappear.  I have added the E2K7 server to the replication on the E2K server for the public folders.  Do I need to add replication to all of the folders in E2K's public folder database.  Some of the folders are marked Schema-root.  Do those need to be moved over in order for the E2K7 server to operate independently.  Most of the articles I have found are pretty vague on the public folders transfer.

Two quick questions, "Is there a canned script that I need to use for creating the replicas of the public folders?  Which side do I run the script? E2K or E2K7?
just run the script above it will add the replica, u will run it on E12

I found the script to run but I am confused as to the switches that need to be attached to the script.  i tried to run just the script by itself and it came back and asked for the other attributes.  Is there anywhere out there that explains exactly what needs to be typed in order to make sure all the folders are replicating successfully.  For that matter how long should it take to replicate the public folders?  I have noticed that they are starting to slowly move over to E2K7 but the size and total items are not the same numbers.
I am looking for the transfer scriot but can't find it ..
