Which is Better - Win7, XP, Or something else?

Asked by leew in Windows 7, Snow Leopard (OS 10.6), Windows XP Operating System, Windows Vista

I'm asking this question to give it it's own thread.  The debate started here:

Pick a side and argue the point - IN GENERAL, people should:
a) STAY with Windows XP
b) Upgrade to Windows 7
