Browse All TopicsTrying to get an HP 3600n Laserjet printer to work on a new Windows 7 system. I can't see a driver on the HP support page. Does this mean the printer is useless until HP creates a Windows 7 64-bit driver? If so, any idea how long that will take.

Ive had a similar problem on other HP printers with Windows 7 - the way I usually fix it is,,,,,,
1. Plug the printer into the client PC via USB Lead - let it dowload the driver (can take more than 10 minutes sometimes - go get a coffee).
2. Then if you install it as a network printer it detects it already had the driver and asks if you want to use it.
If you are rolling out the printer via GPO then you might have to export the driver with printmig to import it elsewhere.
