Win7 missing folder

Folks...I do NOT understand this...hopefully someone can help...

Background...
Windows 7 Ultimate  32 bit...
OS sits on a 120Gb drive...C:\
Data sits on a 1Tb drive....D:\

Built it several months ago...ported a large bunch of folders and files from my XP box...
Among these folders are 2 of interest...MP3Stuff and MP3...

MP3Stuff contains lots of music files in different formats or different rip rates...when I have the file set the way I want it, I copy and paste into MP3 which contains about 21,000 MP3 files...
In the tree they show up as...
Computer\D\MP3
Computer \D\MP3Stuff

What happened...
I had converted about 1,000 files from M4A to MP3...they were in the MP3Stuff folder...I grabbed a bunch and cut and pasted into MP3 folder...something I have done hundreds if not a thousand times...

I went back and grabbed another bunch of MP3 files, cut and went to paste in MP3 and the folder is gone...!!!

How it happened I have no idea...but the MP3 folder with some 21,000 files is missing...it does NOT show up in the directory tree...

Thinking I had "accidently" moved the folder inside another folder...I chacked ALL  my folders, went thru the entire tree...no joy...

I did a search for "MP3"...it only finds *..mp3 files, and the MP3Stuff folder...but not my MP3 folder...

I searched off an on fro about a day...nada...nada...nada...

Got an idea...I downloaded Google Desktop Search...let it update overnight...then I did a search in Goodle Desktop for "MP3"...it finds all my mp3 files...and after about 100 pages of Google results...I start seeing entries...
"D:\MP3"...I open one file...and there they all are...the MP3 folder is visible in Google, I can access all my 21,000 files but the MP3 folder does NOT appear in the directory tree...

I checked folder options...and have it set to show all hidden files and folders...

Right now I have NO CLUE what happened, or how to correct this so that D:\MP3 shows up in the directory tree again...

Any thoughts...ideas...appreciated...

sorry for the length of the post...

have you accidently hidden the folder?  Enable folder options to show hidden files and folers under control panel, appearance and settings and click show hidden files and folders. Maybe the program did it accidently somehow.
Sorry its Control Panel > Apperance and Personalization under folder options you'll see show hidden files and folders.  Let me know if thats the case.

Blizz127...
That's the way I had the folder view set...show all hidden files and folders...PLUS, I was seeing it previously...than whatever happened that happened, now I cannot see the MP3 folder...

What really gets me, Google Desktop finds the folder...and shows the path as...Comptuer\d:\MP3.....which is EXACTLY correct...but I cannot see it any other way...
