IE8 won't play Netflix movie, but Chrome works, why?
This is my IE8 error details. I have Win7 Ultimate? I've been hunting and trying different ways to get Media center and IE8 to play the movies, but they won't. Any ideas gang? AMD Phemon II x4 965 3.4ghz, 4 Gb ram, Gigabyte Mobo. (it did work before, some weeks back)

Did you try removing the Netflix and installing it again?
ASKER
I uninstalled "netflix for media center". Unistalled "outlook connector" , uninstalled "office live add-in".
Weird, it works fine in Chrome browser?

More of a workaround but how about adding www.netflix.com to the compatibility view settings ------- IE --> tools --> compatibility view settings.
after uninstalling did you install it back?

I reinstalled it to media center, it still pops up with "library not registered" what exaclty does this mean?
Did you try reinstalling from within media center or outside of media center just like an app from windows?

This is odd. Let me see how mine works and I'll let you know
Open IE and go to internet options, click on the advanced tab and go down to security. check the allow active content to run in files on My Computer, they MAY fix the problem.

No solutions yet. anyone?
I say something else has been corrupted. I say just for that reformat your Windows and start from scratch. Sometimes those small issues end up costing you a lot of time and hassle. But if you really need it you have to do it since nobody can think of why it's not working.
