User profile fails to be created upon login
A network user who has had no issues suddenly received the error message that the user profile service coudl not load their user profile and they would be using a temp profile. After searching the EE database, we have since deleted this user from the laptop,as well as, from the registry using the prescribed fixes.

Now when the user logs into the laptop, the same error occurs, and the temp profile gets created but the user does not.

How can we get this user to log back onto this laptop and have their network user profile created.

Event ID's 1511 and 1515 are present in the event log as well but no others.

I thank you all in advance for your assistance.

How about if any other user say user100 login on this computer does it produce same error? if it says the same then you need to reset this computer account in domain by right clicking on it or simply re-join this pc to domain

To acp-puzz:
Good advice, and your instincts are correct...no matter what network user i try to login with it tells me the "user profile service failed the login. User profile cannot be loaded"
I am in the process of removing this PC from the domain and rejoining.
Will add another post as soon as it is completed and i test with a login.
Thanks!

I cant guess the exact reason from here but possible reason would be improper logoff/logon (failed ones) improper shutdown if something interfere between session management sub system and LSA then these weird  things can happens one possible reason is also mentioned in  the link within above link

Okay..stop the presses...that did not work......still will not create the user profile......the first user did not error out until after i checked to see if hte user was acutally created...it wasn't..and now any other domain user gets the same error as in the previous comement "user profile service failed the login. User profile cannot be loaded"

Sorry about jumping the gun....any other ideas?!

Avatar of bulldogsdadbulldogsdad🇺🇸

ASKER

I did that KB already.....the only two SID's left in the list are the two local profiles which work fine.....it is only the domain profiles.

I know it is not a group policy as i set those.
Anything else?

Yes sure

Try these softwares CCleaner (check all boxed in "Windows" tab) Tits an junk cleaner there might be some junk on that pc system drive that is causing these profiles to load

and use this tool also http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html

i used  it many times and it solved many weird registry problems

it wont take much time to try above  :)

Still NG...ran the car and the CC Cleaner..all is good...removed from domain...rebooted....same issue will NOT create the user. Same error as in previous comments.
This is a good one!

i know its easy to think for anyone but i"ll still ask all computer can login to domain or not? nd which server u have win2008 or win2k3-r2?

Avatar of bulldogsdadbulldogsdad🇺🇸

ASKER

Great question, but yes the rest of the domain is fine...it is just this laptop (which is mine :)).
I also have a desktop which the profile logs into without an issue.
I was thinking about renaming the laptop; removing all DNS entries of the existig name and removing the pc from the domain by deleting it from AD users and computers. Then rejoin the domain and try that.
Your thoughts?

" (which is mine :))." lol

Yes its an can be good idea but name mapping i mean dns stuff wont hurt user profile creation can this pc login a user roaming profile?

Avatar of bulldogsdadbulldogsdad🇺🇸

ASKER

We do not use roaming profiles. Sorry.

Avatar of acl-puzzacl-puzz🇮🇳

ok but it would cross check that this computer can exchange everything with AD just make an trial user and setup roaming profile for him using below link(in case you need it)

Telnet does respond with a blinking cursor on both accounts.

Avatar of acl-puzzacl-puzz🇮🇳

that means this pc cant see AD"s  LDAP+kerberos and this can be an vital reason of this error! try to heck what is blocking it whether it is outbound direction from this laptop or inbound direction on AD for this pc

Avatar of acl-puzzacl-puzz🇮🇳

When using telnet from any workstation i get connection refused....we do not have any firewalls turned on the local machines.
Besides....this happened all of a sudden....in the early morning i was logged in and then after lunch when i logged back in the problem was here.
I still get Event ID 1505 and 1511.......looks like it is time to re install.
