Blue screen crash

Hi

I'm having regular blue screen crashes using windows 7 ultimate.  The problem started in March 2011, I haven't installed any new drivers or software.  I've ran the memory check and disk check and no problems were highlighted.

I have two 500GB sata hard drives installed, but not as master and slave. I have data on one drive and 3 operating systems on the other. XP, Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 Ultimate on separate partitions.

I can no longer boot into XP or Vista. I can only access Vista by starting it from the os disc and selecting last good configuration.

This is the error repot that came up when the computer restarted:

Problem signature:

  OS Version:      6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

  BCP4:      00000002

I've also included the dump file that was generated.  I've no idea what any of this means.  I would be very grateful if anyone can help me with this problem.

that dump file looks corrupt, can't open it
can you post another one plse?
in the meantime, backup your data and run a disk diag
to backup :
boot from live cd like knoppix, and copy data to internal or external disk
disk diag : dow, load ubcd and run the proper diag : http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/                              ultimate boot cd

Hi

In total my pc has had a blue screen crash 14 times since March.  I've opened the minidump files in WinDbg, and as far as I can see each crash has happened for a different reason.

I've attached all minidump files if this helps.

Hi ded9

Have you been able to open the minidump file.  The other expert also assisting with this problem has not been able to open the file.
Yes i was able to open the minidump.

Ded9
IRQL conflict is caused when two hardware devices are using the same irql.

Just connect mouse keyboard display and power ...and then restart the computer...monitor the computer.

Hi ded9

I've checked irq through device manager and there are no yellow triangles. I'll check the bios later as I have to leave for work shortly.  I'll get back to you later today.

Hi ded9

Thank you for your reply.

This is what I have connected to my pc:

wireless keyboard and mouse, monitor, speakers, 2 printers, (scanner which doesn't have any windows 7 drivers, which is why I have xp installed) and a router (ethernet).  I have my pc and my iMac connected to the router.
check any updates for wireless keyboard and mouse via windows updates..disconnect printer and then restart the computer.

Disconnect flash drive, ipod etc ...

Monitor the computer....

Hi ded9

Sorry for the delay in replying.  Something which I forgot to mention was that when I boot into Windows 7 I'm not getting internet access. On the taskbar there is a yellow triangle on the Network icon, even though the router is showing that I'm connected to the internet and I can switch on the iMac and connect to the internet and access web pages, but not on the pc. I have to reboot the pc and then I get the connection.

This doesn't happen everytime I switch the pc on, but approximately 50% of the time.  I don't know if this would have any connection to my blue screen crash problem.

Hi nobus

Thank you for your reply.

I've gone with your Symantec suggestion; I've uninstalled norton 360 4.0 from all 3 operating systems and I've now been able to access XP and Vista.

I've now installed Norton 360 5.0.  I'll see how I go with this and see if this solves the problem.

I purchased a new hard drive a few weeks ago as I initially thought that my hard drive may have developed a fault.  I installed it and disconnected the old drive, I then installed Windows 7 on it and then tried to install Norton 360 4.0 from the disc, however it went straight ino a blue screen crash.  After contacting Symantec support and explaining the problem they downloaded Norton 360 version 5.0 to my pc.

I'll try this to see if it solves the problem, if not I'll come back and post another question.
