Network password expired or Acces denied

I have a situation.  Our customer created a network between 3 PCs. 2 of them with Windows 7 and one with Windows Vista.  One of the Windows 7 PCs is working as server. They have an S Drive on this being shared by 2 others.  They created a password to access this S Drive.  Today suddenly S Drive Access password says it expired.  Unable to acess. Now it also says Access denied.   Now first of all they don't need any password to share since.  Now how to completely remove this access password requirement.  How to remove any passwords between these 3 PCs.
I appreciate your help. Thanks

You would go to Control Panel/User accounts, and remove the password there. Might lose share access though...

Ideally...

In the search box, enter 'lusrmgr.msc', and double click each user account to set "Password never expires"....

Hi, I am not sure if you understand the problem.  One of the PCs acting as server.  I can log into the server that is not a problem.  On this server we have an S Drive that 2 other PCs are accessing.  Until last Friday there was no problem accessing this drive. This Monday when these 2 PCs tried to access, after they enter the password it says password expired.   Hope this helps.

I do understand it... I am assuming you added the user accounts from the other 2 PCs, to this "server"? If so, normally the accounts are NOT set to "Password never expires".....

If I am wrong in my assumption, please advise, and explain how the 2 systems authenticate to this server......
Hi, I did not add these 2 pcs to the server.  Some one else did.

Yes Your assumption is right.  If so these user accounts on the server is that right?

This is what I am planning to do today.   I would like to delete these 2 user accounts on the server, if they are there. Then I want to create homegroup between 2 widnows 7 Pcs. Then add vista pc to the home group.

Any suggestions.
I personally do not like HomeGroups. Thats your call to use that though....

Typically, in a WG environment, if you have 3 systems, with 2 users on each, that would be a total of 6 user accounts. On the "server", you will want to setup all 6 user accounts on the server, and makes ure their usernames AND passwords match identically.

This allows you to create groups on the server, and use them to manage share/folder security. It also allows a method of authentication to the server, as there is no central AD to handle the authentication.....
Well what you are saying is lot more complicated and many things can go wrong.

Because here this buisness has 3 people with pcs.  There is one folder with 6 gigs of data that they all want to share.  Printer is directly connected via Tcp/ip.

I upgraded vista pc to win 7 yesterday.  So all of them have Windows 7 now.  I created a home group.  It is working fine now. I moved the folder that they want to share to MY DOCUMENTS Share folder. Now they all can read and write this folder.  On this same PC Some folders are still no accessible from other 2 PCs.  It says access denied , contact your administrator.  How to clear all the controlls on this PC?
If anything, I would leave the HomeGroup on all machines.

Remove all file shares.

Recreate the HomeGroup

Share with the Homegroup (or add to the libraries, the data you wanna share)

In all 3 systems, select the bottom option in Folder Options to "Use the Sharing Wizard".

Make sure all accounts are on each PC, and the passwords match.

If Professional or higher, make sure that the passwords are set to NEVER EXPIRE (in lusrmgr.msc)
How do I do the below step:

If Professional or higher, make sure that the passwords are set to NEVER EXPIRE (in lusrmgr.msc)

Also The 2nd hard drive is on the server.  That is the one being shared. Right now it gives access denied message when I double click on 2 other pcs.  If I can fix this, all their problems will be solved.  This has Windows 7 Professional.
Hi

Now I can see 3 files that are under shared drive from other PCs.  I can not see the rest of the files.  As a whole, if I click on Shared drive it says not acessible. any ideas.  Is there a way clear all the resrictions on the PC holding the share drive? Thank you.
This should reset ALL security on the shares and the folders.....
I will check that out.  Just update.  Now 1 PC can see the server no proble.  But 2nd PC can not see the shared drive . It gives access denied.  At the same time 2nd pc can see 3 folders from the shared drive.  Do you think some firewall on 2nd pc is blocking.  Or is there any restriction that Sever shared drive can be accessed by only one user?
Inside the Advanced Sharing Tab, there is a "Limit the amount of simultaneous connections to:", but it is defaulted to 10/20 based on your version of Windows7....

The user that is onthe 1PC that WORKS, is this user also configured on PC2? If not, add the user and test it.... Same name, and same password....
I think I am getting it.  In my other office.  I created a domain based network.  On Windows 7 PC I created a standard profile with a password.  I added a hard drive to be shared to this PC.  I made this sharable.  Then I added 2 xp Pcs to the domain.  I was able to login to the shared drive using the username and password I created for standard user profile.  Great...  I learned a lot.

Now I know how it works.

This is how I am planning to fix the problem network with 3 windows 7 PCs.  One PC is working as a server. I am going to delete all the standard user profiles.  So only one Administrator profile is left.  Then I will create a new standard profile with username and password. Now I will try to access the Server pc using the new username and password.

Now my only question is when I delet these profiles, would they be gone completely?  Should I change the Domain (workgroup) new one such as "Office" so the old settings won't interefere?  I appreicate your input.  Thanks
John are you there.  I need help.  I could not delete the username as that may be used to connect to the printer.  I created an new user name with password.  Now One pc that is connected to share drive also giving access denied.  I am so worried now.

Why is this not asking for username and password.  Instead why is this giving Access denied.  I can access some other folders on this pc but this does not let me share the Shared drive.

PLEASE HELP
I'm sorry, I missed your last comments.... Where do you stand with this? Everything OK?
