Windows Security Log Reports Event ID 5038 Image Hash Invalid

A client of mine has been having trouble with a PC of theirs lately. Things have been running slow and reboots have been required. When I review the event logs all I see in the application logs are various programs hanging. In the security logs I get the following on a reboot.

"Code integrity determined that the image hash of a file is not valid.  The file could be corrupt due to unauthorized modification or the invalid hash could indicate a potential disk device error.

File Name:      \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\drivers\WavxDMgr.sys"

I have searched around all I could but it seems that this issue is primarily based on what file is reporting the error, and I couldn't find any info on this particular file. I was hoping someone could give me a heads up as to what this error implies. Does anyone know what this file is, or what program put this file on the machine?

I did some of the research at Wave's site, and found out about the Trusted Platform Module stuff.  Saw alot of references to DELL in the articles.   Interesting, but it appears dell installs software related to this hardware.  We removed the dell software, and the errors no longer show up.
