Windows permissions error
Greetings,
I have migrated from winxp to win vista and then win7.
Everything works but I have problems with permissions for documents. I keep getting error that i cant get access. I have admin status.

I tried everything. Nothing helps.
I tried with linux. I can see files then but even linux report security problems regarding permissions.

Is this computer part of a domain? or stand alone (Work Group) setup?

As I wrote I tried the suggestions provided and nothing helped. I still dont have access to the documents.
And as I also said I also used linux to access disk drive. In this case I can see files but I cant open them (permission error like in windows environment).

This was the solution that worked at the end. Other were good pointers.
Check that inherent permissions in not checked in the advance tab
