Windows 8 CMD commands not working
For some reason on my Windows 8 machine stopped accepting commands from CMD if opened through the start menu or shortcut. Every command I type it will state, "command not recognized" even ones such as ping. Everything looks good, I mean it's under the C: windows > system32 path.
If I search for CMD the system32 folder and open it directly that way, it will accept commands. Yet nothing has changed, it's still the normal correct path when opening it up. I have admin privileges when I'm opening it up too just to clarify.
If I right click the CMD from the System32 folder and create a shortcut on the desktop, it creates it, but it still has the issues. The onyl way it works is opening the origional CMD file in the system32 folder.
Why would this be? I'm quite tech savvy and don't see any reasons why this would be happening. I use CMD a lot, and like a a quick way to open it other than searching for it in the system 32 folder every time.
