Hi Experts,
Theoretically, for OEMs, Is it possible for them to add the touch screen support into a Smartphone device for their own written application? OEMs have control to whatever hardware to use in their device, the only limitation they have is to only use smartphone version of Windows Mobile OS.
Is it possible for them to change the screen that is touch sensitive, write a driver for it, send a customized window message whenever a tap occurs on the screen to their own application (other applications will simply ignore this message because they won't recognize it), and let their own customized application process that message?

To a greater extent, is it possible to add screen support that works for every application? (not just OEMs customized application)?
