The Solution Rating System
|
|
| With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site. If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support. Thank you! |

Asked by jbyrd1981 in Windows Mobile (Pocket PC / Win CE) Operating Systems, Windows MobileProgramming, Windows Vista
Hello,
I am in desperate need of a solution here. I have a Windows mobile phone and Active Sync frequently with my Windows Vista system. It seems like once a month it stops syncing. I notice that the screen says 600 or so contacts when I have 400 and fails shortly after that. What I have had to do in the past was hard reset my phone and it would start syncing again. This solution is not very good at all because I have to go back through there and customize my phone all over again. I have been thinking that maybe there is an update to Windows or maybe active sync for the phone that could fix my issue. What I need is a solution that does not involve a hard reset. Everything else on my phone works great and would like to avoid it. At a minimum I may select a solution if it includes a backup program that will be able to load all my personalizations and programs back onto the phone after a hard reset.
Oh yes, I have tried completely un-pairing the phone with the computer and rejoining it and that did not work. If I am not careful when doing this I loose all my contacts within the phone and not being able to still sync, forces me to do a hard reset because I have to have my contacts. Maybe there is a way to hack around and get it to completely remove the partnership and then rejoin.
