USB won't recognize smartphone (Moto Q9) with Active Sync 4.5

I have a Moto Q9 smartphone that I sync to my laptop. It needs Active Syn 4.5 (microsoft). That all installed fine but when I plug in my phone (USB), it says that it does not detect the USB device. The USB is working fine because other things plug in there without a problem and are recognized.Start Free Trial
