I think you cannot from your device.
remove it and connect to your pc with some card reader and format from your compter.

I remember a mobile application which can do that, i will find it.

Take it out of the phone and plug it into an adapter (if required) then into a laptop / desktop with the relevant flash socket in and format it from there.

This utility can cleanup your storage card:

Unless there is a reason to format it.

Hello,

First, make sure you log into a computer with administrator privilleges.

Then open my computer and select the device.
Right click this and select format which will bring up a box, I would reccomend a quick NTFS format. Which will delete all settings and data from this (restoring it to factory default).

If you cannot find the device.

I would open up device manager by right clicking my computer and click manage, then find the flash drive and assign a drive letter for example (f:).

Then this should appear under my computer.

Also you can see if there is a fault under computer management with your flash drive if there is an explaination mark next to this.

Cheers

Louis

I don't have the relevant flash socket so I need a reliable tool some thing like this http://www.handango.com/catalog/ProductDetails.jsp?productId=14294&platformId=30

but it should be FREE !

by: alanhardistyPosted on 2009-09-22 at 02:57:48ID: 25391012

You can either buy a flash card reader or some software, or search for a free tool that will do it for you, but I had a quick search and drew a blank on the free front.

Plenty of paid for apps nut none so far that are free.

You have connected in ActiveSync Mode.
Connect in Removable Drive mode.

Goto your phone, start menu, settings, connections tab, usb to pc, in there select Disk Drive
Then connect phone to your computer, then you see it as usb drive.

You can try it out.
