Embedded VC++ vs. VS 2005 vs. VS. 2008
1. What is the difference - for programming for WinCE - between Embedded Visual C++ 4.0, Visual Studio.net 2005 and Visual Studio.net 2008. Which better to do development for WinCE and what are the differences?
2. If I want to target WinCE 5.0, is it possible to get that emulator for 5.0 working with 2005 or 2008?

1. Embedded VC++ - works only with WinCE versions < 5.0, ie PPC 2003, 2002 etc - recently can be pronounced dead
VS2005/2008 - Standard Edition at least to be able to work with Smart Device projects - this works quite nice, and if you have the SDK from the vendor (for Windows CE in particular) then it will work too.
2. Look at this site for WinCE 5.0 emulator and VS2005/2008 - it's not trivial, but seemed people got it working
