I think this is an Outlook problem, not a Tablet PC problem. There might be a specific task that is causing this problem. But you should be able to rebuild or restore the Outlook files. There are many ways of doing this and many things to try. Here are a few. First do a backup. Then, I think there is one repair utility built into Outlook 2007 itself. Be very careful touching Outlook files as they have special permissions and dependencies. Go into Outlook advanced settings and uncheck all of the plugins (including the virus scanner). Compact the main Outlook file by going to the options mail setup data files tab. If that fails, delete all but 1/2 of the folders until you and either restore the files or delete another 1/2 until you narrow the problem down to specific emails. After doing this report back here your progress as there are more things to do if this doesn't fix the problem.
I'm just started getting the same error, cpincidently - I think, on my Toshiba Tablet PC.
I really don't see how it can be tablet pc related though as I've been using OL2007 for about 6 months with no problems.
I did just install NAV2007. (was running NAV2006) Are you running Norton Antivirus 2007 on the problem machine? I think the main PST is corrupted. OL2007 has a built-in untility (like the old SCANPST.exe) that is supposed to scan and fix the pst files.
When I get this fixed I'll post what I found.
Hi - Here is what fixed the problem for me:
1 Restart the computer to be sure that there are no Outlook processes running
2) Backup (make copies) of all your PST files.
3) Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12 and run SCANPST.EXE for each of your PST files and allow scanpst to backup and fix all errors. If you want to be really sure, run it repetatively until scanpst finds no errors on each file.
4) Start up Outlook and let it run overnight - or longer as outlook will scan each file and and validate it.
Here is a link with info on scanpst.exe (Outlook Inbox Repair Tool)
http://office.microsoft.co
I have about 3.5GB in 4 pst files and I let it run overnight and now outlook seems to function properly.
I had errors in all files.
Be sure to use the scanpst.exe that was installed with office 2007.
Also, btw, i have the instant search feature turned off in outlook.
Info on turning off instant search in next post
Hope this helps you.

From Outlook 2007 Help: Enable or disable the Instant Search feature
Enable Instant Search
Instant Search requires certain Microsoft Windows search components in order to function. When you start Office Outlook 2007, if you don't already have the Windows Desktop Search component installed on your computer, a dialog box will display prompting you to download the software. If you download the software, you must restart Outlook in order for Instant Search to function.
Note Windows Vista includes Windows Desktop Search, so if you are using Office Outlook 2007 on a computer that runs Windows Vista, Instant Search is enabled automatically and there are no prompts.
If you don't enable Instant Search, you can still search but search performance and functionality will be limited. Click here to enable Instant Search displays below the Instant Search box in case you want to enable Instant Search later.
Disable Instant Search
To not get prompted to download the Windows Desktop Search component, do the following:
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click Other, and then click Advanced Options.
Under General settings, clear the Show prompts to enable Instant Search check box.
Note This check box does not appear if your computer runs Windows Vista or if your computer runs Microsoft Windows XP and you have already installed the Windows Desktop Search component.
To disable Instant Search if the Windows Desktop Search components are already installed on your computer, clear the check boxes under Index messages in these data files in the Search Options dialog box. For more information, see Change the Instant Search options. Clearing the check boxes disables search functionality, but does not remove the Instant Search pane.
Important Disabling Instant Search prevents you from using the Windows Desktop Search query syntax. You can, however, use Advanced Find as in earlier versions of Outlook. To use Advanced Find, on the Tools menu, point to Instant Search, and then click Advanced Find, or just press CTRL+SHIFT+F.
Although I have not tried it, this link:
http://office.microsoft.co
also has info on the SCANOST.exe tool.
Also, you could turn off local the local caching of email in the mail profile (control panel / mail) for the Exchange outlook client. then reboot, delete (or safer to rename) all ost files and then turn local caching back on to download and recreate a clean ost file for that user.

OST Integrity Check tool
From time to time, you may get error messages when synchronizing your Offline Folder file (.ost) in Microsoft Office Outlook with your mailbox on a server running Exchange. You may also notice that some items are missing from your .ost file or from your mailbox after you synchronize your .ost file and your mailbox. When this occurs, you should use the OST Integrity Check tool (Scanost.exe) to check your .ost file.
The OST Integrity Check tool runs only on .ost files and can be used to diagnose and repair synchronization issues. The tool scans both your .ost file and your mailbox on the server running Exchange, compares the items and folders in each, and attempts to reconcile synchronization differences between them. The OST Integrity Check tool does not change your mailbox on the server running Exchange. The tool records any differences in a scan log so that you can see the discrepancies that it found and resolved. The scan log also identifies any situations that the tool could not correct which you will need to fix manually. The scan log can be found in your Deleted Items folder.
To use the OST Integrity Check tool, you must connect to your Exchange account so that the tool can scan your mailbox folders and items. If you previously set up Outlook to start offline automatically, the OST Integrity Check tool will not be able to access your mailbox on the server running Exchange. Therefore, before you run the tool, you need to change your Outlook startup settings temporarily.
If you have problems opening your .ost file, you can use the Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in your .ost file. The Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) can be used on your .ost file as well as Personal Folders file (.pst). The tool scans the .ost or .pst file, and makes sure that the file structure is intact. It does not interact with your Inbox on the server running Exchange server in any way.
The OST Integrity Check tool (Scanost.exe) is installed when you install Outlook. It is located at:
drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12.
Repair errors by using Scanost.exe
Exit Outlook if it is running.
Double-click Scanost.exe, located at drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12.
If you have set up Outlook to prompt for a profile, the tool will also prompt you for one. In the Profile Name list, click the profile that contains the .ost file that you want to check.
If you are prompted to Connect or Work Offline, click Connect.
Select the options that you want.
To have the tool automatically resolve discrepancies that it finds during the scan, select the Repair Errors check box. If this check box is cleared, the tool will log the problems but not make the necessary corrections.
Click Begin Scan.
Note To view the scan log, start Outlook, and then open the Deleted Items folder. The tool does not scan the Deleted Items folder. Any problems will be noted in a message with the Subject "OST Integrity Check."
I was looking for this thread again, but apparently I am too late as the solution I previously recommended was accepted.
The problem was NOT solved by using the solution accepted above, as I originally thought.
What DID solve it was deleting the active .ost file (in C:\Documents And Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\ApplicationData\M
This solution was not posted here, but I just wanted to follow up so that if anyone else is looking for this solution they will know that the posted solution actually didn't solve my problem.
Hope this helps,

I can't comment on the error you're getting.... but I've had Office2007 (and several betas) running on my Motion LE1600 Tablet PC without any troubles at all.
