TC1100 With Vista - Quick Luanch Buttons Don't Work (screen brightness)

Hi,
I've recently done a clean install of Vista Ultimate (and updated to SP1 etc) on an HPTC1100 Tablet. Everything works great except the Quick Launch Buttons. I've tried installing version 6.4b and c, being the latest versions I believe, but they will not run even if "As Administrator" is chosen. The tablet screen is too bright and in order to dim it I need the Quick Launch Buttons to work. Anyone have any ideas?

As far as I can make out Vista drivers are few and far between for this PC. Most people are saying that the XP drivers will work.

Thanks for the additional information. That softpaq in not compatible, maybe it worked for people that upgraded from XP instead of a Vista clean install. The goal is not really button related though, it is to be able to dim or brighten the display. And, from what I've read, that functionality reside in the Qmenu program which I've yet to be able to run. After installing Qmenu 6.4 it seems to work for a moment and then stops running. I keep thinking there must be another way to access the display bright/dark settings.
