Browse All TopicsI have installed a clean install of MS XP Tablet Edition 2005 from CD (formatted HD first) but put the wrong product code in (read the wrong key from our volume licence index) and wasn't prompted to install the second disk. Unfortunately I didn't realise this disk installed the tablet functions until I had installed all the updates and software required. Is there a way to replace the product key with the correct key and install the tablet functions or do I need to wipe the disk and start again? Only plain XP Pro has been installed.

I'm not entirely sure, but I'd recommend you do a "nuke-n-pave" operation (reformat and reload from scratch) and make sure you use the correct product ID code. I can't image changing the Product Code after the fact will solve the problem.... sorry
Recall, that the "high end" Vista SKUs all have the Tablet PC bits... no need for a special Product ID code.
