XP Power Scheme Options reset to default settings after using a Dial-up connection

We have one laptop, an HP EliteBook 2730p that is running XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 with service pack 3, that reverts back to some default settings under the Power Schemes tab every time it connects to the server through dial-up networking.  We have several of these laptops and it seems like this is the only one doing this.

I was thinking group policy settings but it doesn't change when the laptop is connected to and logs into the domain.  It only seems to change when it dials into the server.

The settings that are changing are the Turn off monitor, Turn off hard disks, and System standby.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
