Hi all,
I have installed Windows Vista Home Basic. But the dispaly is not correct. The screen resolution is set to the mininum. I can't change the resolution and the color quality. My monitor is ViewSonic VP140-3 with Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. Please help me to fix it. Thanks.

This link is the one most likely to have a driver that will "kinda" work. Intel does not support the 845 chipset on Vista, so if this does not work, you'll have to purchase a descrete video card, (one can be bought for 20-50 these days)

Well, it depends on what you're willing to spend, i personally favor Nvidia over ATI, though, ATI has a better driver offering in support of vista at this time than Nvidia, i suspect Nvidia will have everything in working order by end of this month.
I'll list a few items in a varying range of prices, since you were using in integrated graphics to begin with, and since you have home basic which doesn't support Aero, you don't need a top notch card.
Also your board only supports 4X AGP, so you can't even buy anything that advanced that will work with your computer.

Buyer beware though, those pricer cards may not be compatable with your computer, so i would suggest you go with the baseline card, it won't do much for you, but it's supported by Nvidia.
