Thanks for your help.
Yes. The server's name is "Jerry". I have tried "Jerry\localUser" several times unsuccessfully. It still kicks me back with the domain.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am running Vista Ent, and am having trouble authenticating a Mac OS/X server. My domain is run on Server 2003.
I want to authenticate with a local account on the Mac server, while logged on under a domain account with Vista. When the credentials dialog pops up, I type in the local account and password. However, it kicks me back, and tries to authenticate with a domain account. For example, it comes back saying "domain\localUser". How can I override this process, or change it?
If at all possible, I do not want to set up a trust between the Mac server and the domain.
Thanks.
