Browse All TopicsGood afternoon all,
I'm trying to install Front Page 2003 on my vista laptop which is new. It's been installing for about 4 hours now and is about 1/2 way thru. The entire pc runs slow during this process (virtualy useless) so I had no choice but to shut it down hard. I don't think is Front Page specific since I've seen this problem before with other Microsoft Office products on installs.
I've repeated the process several times now with now luck, making sure the anti-virus is disabled, nothing was open, any uncessary processes running.
Has anyone seen this before? I don't think it's vista specific because I have had and seen this with XP in past installs with Office products.
:) Thanks everyone,
James

I'd consider trying two things
1) turn off the User Account Control (UAC) feature
2) right-click on the Setup.exe and go to Properties/Compatibility and change it to read XP SP2
Afterwards, you put UAC back on.
