DESCRIPTION
I am able to successfully connect my XBox 360 media extender to my Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Media Center however when I start browsing around the menu items it freezes for a few second and I receive the follow error message:
"Session Terminated. Another user or application on the Windows Media Center-based PC has disconnected this device."
Sometimes the menu will just freeze and I can select the XBOX menu button and go back to the dashboard.
If I look in the Event Viewer and the Vista box under the media center I get the following event:
"An unauthorized window was detected while running the Windows Media Center Experience, 'Microsoft Windows', with file name 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\
DW20.exe appears to be the Office 2003 / 2007 error reporting tool. This will send error messages and crash stats to Microsoft.
ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE BY USER
I found a KB article on how to disable "Error Reporting" but this did not fix my issue.
I tried renaming the file (as administrator) and was told I do not have permissions (yes I tried in safe mode also).
I've installed both Windows Vista SP1 (I was able to get a BETA or RC version), and office 2007 SP1
I tried disabling both my Firewall and Anti-Virus.
Did many fruitless search for disabling, deleting, or removing "DW20.exe"
Any help disabling or removing this file / service would be greatly appreciated
