You may share the entire drive in the server and map this share in your workstation to a Drive letter. This will give you same folder structure in your workstation with drive letter.

Basically we have I have some software which is looking for certain files in a directory e.g. c:\directory\files [Static cannot be changed] but I want to store the files at \\server\share\files

What is you share the folder where files are, and connect that folder to your computer:
1. Share your folder (and give right permissions)
2. On your computer ... incommand promt Net use x: \\server name\share name
