Unknown folders generated in C: drive

Zone: Windows Vista

Tags: Windows Vista, SP 1

Avter the initial load of Vista two additional folders have appeared in my C drive. $UPGRADE.~OS and $Windows.~BT, presumably these have been generated by Microsoft Update or similar. Are they necessary or simply an artifact of an update process?

Normally those folder is created by Microsoft or Windows Update application. From what I understand that those folder can be delete after installation is completed. Cause they most is blank isn't? Normaly Windows or Microsoft Update after installing update, they will clean the installation path by deleting all files.

if you want to besure, COPY them first o another location, then delete the original location, so you can set them back if needed
