Downgrade from Windows Vista Home to XP Professional

I'm looking for a definitive answer here as several calls to Microsoft have given me conflicting answers.  I've got several machines with Windows Vista Home that I'd like to downgrade to Windows XP Professional.  In order to do this, can I purchase the Windows XP Professional Upgrade version or do I have to purchase the full blown version?  If someone could give me a definitive answer on this, I would certainly appreciate it.  Thanks.Start Free Trial
