Need "Run-as" to apply to an entire folder like in XP.

Asked by TechniMemphis in Windows Vista

Tags: , , ,

I used to have a folder on my computer "C:\admin" that contained all my useful shortcuts that I needed as a domain admin.
I would log in as my regular account and run Iexplorer.exe as DOMAIN\GODLIKE pointing it to the C:\ADMIN folder.

The result was, every shortcut I opened in this folder ran under my DOMAIN/GODLIKE account.

This doesn't happen with vista.  I made the change to the user account so it prompts me for a username and password, but I have to type it in with *every* *single* *shortcut* *I* *use* *in* *my* *folder*
It's just easier to log in and out all day long or run *everything* as domain admin.

Any suggestions? Is this just going to be the straw that broke the camel's back and put me back to XP hoping windows comes out with something useable before XP is gone like "self respect" and "classy celebrities" ?

Thanks!
