I have a Liteon ATAPI iHAP322 8 ATA DEVICE, CD\DVDRom that will not install with vista home premium
and when I try to install the driver/firmware it says "NO matched drive detected! this utility is only for ATAPI iHAP322 8 drive. Detected drives:
but when I go into dm it shows the ATAPI iHAP322 8 ATA DEVICE there but has a yellow yield sign on the device.
I checked the jumper settings and it is on master and it is the only device that is on the cable.
I uninstalled it and rebooted and it didnt solve the problem.
Any Ideas..
Thanks

You did not state what motherboard you have.
It seems that there is a problem with the IDE drivers which might be solve by installation of the latest chipset drivers availble from your motherboard or PC vendor.
Other possible cause may be another incompatible driver/software you recently installed on your PC.
If it ever worked with the cuurent installation you may want to restore to an ealier checkpoint.
Hope that helps,
