iPhone App change his Icon by itself

I downloaded Facebook app on an iPhone 3GS and is showing another app icon instead.

Any idea how to fix this or it's simple an application bug?

    This seems to more an iphone/itunes problem, and you are not alone in the problem.

    As per the last comment
    "my observation so far is that it is an iTunes problem. i've had up to 5 apps ALL WITH THE WRONG ICON. the reason i say i suspect its an iTunes problem is that i have never seen this happen when you download apps directly through the App Store app (on your iphone or ipod). it has only happened when you sync apps through iTunes (8.2).

    my recommended fix is to simply delete the apps, then redownload directly on your device instead of using itunes on your mac or pc (iTunes on both have this problem)."

    Well I guess I will have to wait for a fix from apple on the new OS to solve this.

    I tried already many times to delete the app from itunes and my iphone and downloaded again using the iphone but it still gets the icon from an app that doesn't exist anymore.

    As another possible way around this, (and I have no idea if it will work), have you tried using itunes to reload the base software. (I.E I software reset to factory defaults)
    You might need to re-install some apps, but it's worth a try if you have not already tried it.
