I am a big fan of Acronis. I have used home and workstation versions of their software for 5 years. I have a lot of clients that use workstation versions and I have 2 clients that use it with SBS 2003 and 1 with 2003 Standard. Nothing is perfect, but I have had very good success making backups and restoring and/or mounting images to peruse. I usually use incremental backup with a rotation of external hard drives.
Note: I did have some trouble with 1 client that was using USB Thumb drives for backup. It kept prompting for the next volume even though there was still space.
Also, do the updates when they come out
Also, I would not necessarilly count on some of the advanced features such as convet backup to virtual image. My experience with that has been mixed and I have only tried it as a last resort. I like the idea of potentially being able to use that and I have been able to several times, but it usually required an OS repair etc. to the virtual image.

I have been using Acronis at a site (5 servers) for the past seven months and have had no problems whatsoever. However, all of these servers are either 2003 or AS400 -- I haven't used it in a 2008 environment. I used Arcserv for years, but finally dropped them as I found their product support was lacking.
