Asked by dvelasquez in Windows Vista
I am having some issues using the Folders Sync in Vista. I tried to sync a network folder and it tried to sync the entire drive. I then tried unchecking the "Make Available Offline" on the folder but it continued to sync. I tried going into the Offline Folders in the Control Panel and deleting the temp files, but that did not work.
I then went to c:\windows\csc\v2.06\names
pace\marge
where marge was the network folder. I did not have access to I gave myself access to the folder with inherit permissions checked. I can browse the content of the marge folder but I still cannot delete the folders - no permission. I specifically gave myself access to the folder, it's subfolders and the files as well.
I am really frustrated as I have been working on this for over a day and I am still tying up 5GB on my hard drive. I tried to restablish the sync of the network folder hoping to try and do something different but when I right click on the network folder I no longer have the option to "Make Available Offline."
I am an administrator on my machine and have tried deleting the folder from the admin account as well - no luck.
Please help.
