XP Pro - NTFS formating fails on a 372 GB drive (2*200GB Raid 0)

Hi :-)

   I just got 2 western digital 200GB drives and installed them ( using an HPT 372 IC Raid 0 config). The ATA raid detected them just fine (with latest bios drivers) and prior to installing them I followed the instructions in MS article Q303013 inorder to get XP to recognize them. So I am now in disk manager and the 2 striped drives appear as 372GB. I created a primary partition utilizing all the space available. I goto format and (slow or fast) it fails every time. I cannot find any info on this and would appreciate any input.

I would like to keep my current configuration, but am open to other ideas so long as I can see both drives as one huge one.Start Free Trial
