With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Newbie here...Win XP Home Print Spooler

While screwing(can I say that here? sry) with a good thing I managed to disable or throw out my print spooler exe. file and can no longer enable print spooler and in turn can not reinstall my lexmark z32 printer.

I tried here to no avail

I tried to manually start spooler following these instructions; """Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
Double-click the Printer Spooler service, and then change the startup type to Automatic. This sets the Spooler service to start automatically when you restart the computer.
If you want to start the spooler service immediately, click the Start button under the Service Status field."""

I tried typing "net start spooler" in run dialog box and each of the above produced the following error message

 ""Could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependancy service or group failed to start""

So in an attempt to save as many of my 275 question tokens as possible,I've scoured everywhere I could think of. And still no solution or print spooler exe file to be found.

I'm offering 50 tokens (big spender huh?) for the first to offer a solution that will get my printer up and running again with minimal pain.
Please excuse my sarcasm,,It's late, I'm a bit frustrated, and I'm not quite used to the token forum here.(good thing I'm not getting charged by the word,,,,,or am I?)
