optimize windows xp

i have a question
i got p4 2.4 ghz
i got ram 768 ddr 333 kingston
i got vga radeon 9700 all in wonder
and i use asus board p4sx
and i feel like not that fast'
does anyone know how to tweak windows xp
except using tweak xp or other program.
can we use registry to tweak
or any other way to make ur computer faster + HOW TO OPTIMIZE THE RAM
