I'll try that later today and see how it goes, thanks.

Geforce 2 Ultra (not O/C'd)
Windows XP Pro SP1
Here's the problem, I'll be playing Warcraft 3 and all of a sudden my computer thinks I did a Search (via Start>Search) when I did nothing of the sort, it'll lag my whole computer for 30 seconds or so and minimize the game to focus on the search. I didn't use any hotkey or anything for search, usually I'm just clicking to move my units or something. A few times my computer has thought I clicked on someone's name in AIM to send them a message, when there's virtually no way I could have since it's sitting in the task bar. This has nothing to do with Warcraft 3 it just only seems to happen when I'm playing it. I have up-to-date Norton Antivirus definitions, and have scanned my computer very recently so it's not a virus/trojan or anything of the sort, this has been happening for a week or two.
If it helps these are the programs I run in the background:
MIRC
AIM
Motherboard Monitor 5
Norton Antivirus
Winamp
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance. Points will be awarded to a solution, but in the case of no solution, points will be awarded to the one who tried the hardest. :)

I used to have the same problem while playing StarCraft. The problem for me used to be that even though the GAME window is active, other programs in the background still have active "buttons" if you click on that area of the screen. I think the thing that triggers these various programs opening on you is that you may have clicked in the bottom left corner of your screen while playing Warcraft (I assume that is where your START button is..) and accidentally triggered the FIND function. When this happened to me, I minimized all programs so that the desktop was clear, and then I hid my taskbar, thus no chance of opening any programs while I clicked anywhere on the screen. Sorry, it might not be that much help, but that's my 2cents.
