Browse All TopicsI have an XP Home box that for some reason won't allow me to change the time or date. Machine has 2 users set up one administrator and on restricted user. Logon as administrator and I receive an error that i don't have sufficient rights to change local time. Logon as as restricted user receive same error as expected.
Machine is setup on a local network to share printers and Internet connection. No domain only workgroup. Tried creating a new admin and still recieve error. I have 3 other machines set up the same way that don't have the problem.

something you could try although it is probably not the most secure means...
go to Start->run and type regedt32 and then click on Security menu and Permissions and make sure the administrative account has full access to everything.
does that help any?
