i can't delete a file. the one mentioned above.

Cannot delete TOP_PO~1: Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.
Please can you help me delete this.

Use this method:
1) Open a CMD window. (Click START>RUN and type in CMD)
2) CD to the folder that contains this file.
3) Type "DIR /X" and note the output. You are interested in the SHORT FILE NAME and EXTENSION displayed.
4) Type "DEL xxxx.xxx" where "xxxx.xxx" is the SHORT FILE NAME and extension you saw in #3.
Im getting the following message when i try to delete a file onn my desktop "cannot delete file. cannot read from sorce file or disk"
the actual file that im trying to delete is "car7xpc2. " it doesnt have a file extnsion
ok i tried in the cmd propmt to delete it and it says that it cant find the file. When i do dir /x /a it shows me the file as "car7xp~1"
with no file extension. I tried typing that and it still doesnt delete... Any suggestions?
