Browse All TopicsI have a weird problem. I am using a Compaq NX9005 laptop which has a Dlink DWL 650+ wireless PCMCIA card in it. The laptop is running Win XP SP1. The problem I have is that when I am running on battery power and the battery is about between 25% and 50% if I shut the laptop down and then restart it the Wireless PCMCIA card will not start. In device manager you get an errror stating that a service cannot start. But as soon as I plug the power lead in and shut the laptop down and restart I get no problems at all. Obviously this is a power problem somewhere but I cannot find anywhere to change any settings.
