I have Windows XP which it was installed in my system when i bought my pc. When i try to install a Service Pack it refuses to install. It says "The product key used to install windows is INVALID. please contact your system administrator or retailer immediately to obtain a valid product key.
You may also contact microsoft corpotation's anti piracy team ..." Can you help me to find the problem?

Sounds like you bought a machine with an illegal copy of WindowsXP. Did you get a WindowsXP Authenticity certificate with the machine? If not, your copy isn't legit.
There are ways to change the product ID on your machine once you purchase (or obtain from where you got your PC) a legitimate copy of the OS and a valid product key.
I have also called Microsoft many times, explained the situation, for example, one of my clients lost the Cd-Case but had the CD, it was an authentic CD, nothing to hid, the rep was very helpful and issued us another number.
Was this a custom built computer? You either have an illegal product key or someone else who has updated their computer is using your key already.
Either way do what the message says: contact your system administrator or retailer immediately to obtain a valid product key.
