Can you program a Function Key like F12 to paste text?
I just recently changed email addresses and I'm constantly having to type in my new email address. Is there a way to program a function key, like F12 which I never use for anything, so that when I need to type my email address I just press F12 and it pastes the text wherever my cursor happens to be? Or, perhaps it might put the text wherever a "block copy" does and then I could just "paste" it myself.
I'm running Windows XP Pro on a Compaq Presario 5000 desktop? My Compaq KB has what they call "Easy access buttons" but the only options are (1) Launch a new program and (2) Launch a new website, neither apparently useful for typing text.
Perhaps there is a shareware program which would facilitate this. Anyone? Thanks.
