Browse All TopicsHello,
In my Windows XP Prof, everytime I connect my USB2 memory stick to my computer I become an error message:
A FAST USB DEVICE IS CONNECTED TO A SLOW USB HUB
I become this message twice, maybe because I'm using an external USB1 hub (I have only USB1 connections on my system)
Everytime I switch my stick, I have to close both windows.
Is there a way to disable this message in one of the Windows XP settings or the registry.
Thanks
Frank

Have you got Service pack 1 installed?
I don't know about your motherboard and its drivers, but mine requires SP1 before it can install support for USB 2.0
Try installing SP1 and then your motherboard drivers to see if that helps.
Also, you might have not enabled support for USB 2 in your BIOS. Mine has a choice between USB 1, none or both.
