Browse All TopicsMy problem is this:
1. I love goback, and have been on Win ME. I recently used Bootmagic to setup a new partition (formated as Fat32) for WinXP, and using Bootmagics ability to manage dual opps.
2. After installing WinXP, I discovered that it is cablable of managing dual ops, and that Goback is copatable with the WinXP method of managing dual ops but it is not compatable with Bootmagic.
My questions:
1. How do I go about getting the dual opp system working without Bootmagic? [I've reviewed the WinXP help, and it appears that one could add a line in the boot.ini such as multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)par
2. If necessary, I could create a Drive Image of both partitions and then restart from scratch and re-install both but I'd like to avoid this due to time and hassle.
Thanks

As long as your ME installation is on the same hard drive (0), edit the partition to reflect the partition that ME is installed on.... (hopefully this is partition 1) For a dual boot, you should install ME first (on partition 1) and then install XP on the second partition... Always install OS's on different partitions...!!
