Already checked for viruses with Norton Antivirus 2004, and spyware with SpyBot. Also have run Systemworks 2004 checkup programs. No errors or viruses found. Any other suggestions?

DDE Server Window stops responding at shutdown?
This is an odd error that happens every now and again, when I'm trying to shutdown the computer. The "program not responding" message pops up, saying that I can either cancel or just end the program now. I'm not sure what the exact program or message is, but it has something to do with "DDE server window" for sure. Can someone help me out here on how to fix whatever problem there might be? I will provide more information if necessary. Searching the web has found almost no references to this particular problem, or "fixes" that don't really do anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
