WIN XP Pro Admin Password Not set - Compaq Presario 2500 - All Usernames Vanished
We are using a Compaq Presario 2500 and when we turned it on this morning there were NO users to be able to login with.
We tried dropping from the welcome screen to normal login with [ctr] [alt] and [del] but the passwords for the normal users no longer seem to exist although the history login of the last user is still available.
No Passwords work, we tried to go into safe mode and it asks us for an admin password. We never set an admin password and the normal passwords don't work for all users and blank and passwords such as Password, and numbers.
We can not get onto the system in the command prompt because it asks for the admin password we do not have.
There are important documents and files that need to be backed up otherwise we would have just re-formatted and started again.
Help is required ASAP.
