Browse All TopicsI am looking into upgrading a friend's PC to XP Home or Pro, because his 98 install has so many problems, and his computer has what I think is a bogus version of 98. He has the disk, but the CD key did not work when we tried to reinstall. Is Pro worth the extra money and why?
Also I see there are full versions and upgrade versions. Besides the fact that I cannot get his 98 to load, why else would I justify to him that he pay the extra hundred for the full version? If you have to reload an upgrade version, do you have to reinstall both? Can an upgrade version be installed on its own?
